Tooth Whiteners Systems

In the ever growing world of dentistry, tooth whiteners top the list. Used by both men and women alike,  tooth whiteners are available to satisfy every budget, no matter what walk of life you’re from.
The bottom line is that tooth whiteners work. Virtually everyone who choses to use a tooth whitener will see a substantial improvement in the quality of their smile. Even though a tooth whitener is by far a long lasting solution it requires repeated usage to see any long term effects.

There a couple you can stay away from if you want to keep your beauitful white smile. Steady use of items such as red wine, coffee, tea, cola, carrots, oranges can cause staining over a period of time. Also a combinaton highly acidic foods like citrus fruits and vinegar will have you searching for a tooth whitener in no time at all. Other thing to be aware of is smoking habbits,grinding,trauma and drug/chemicals can play a role in staining the teeth. There are many tooth whiteners that are available on the market today. All of them are rely on varying concentrations of peroxide and varying application times.

One tooth whitener system is called In-Office Whitening it can change the color of your teeth in a short period of time. A major benefit of in-office whitening is that protocol involves the carefully controlled use of a relatively high-concentration peroxide gel, applied to the teeth by the dentist or trained technician after the gums have been protected with a paint-on rubber dam. Generally, the peroxide remains on the teeth for several 15 to 20 minute intervals that add up to an hour (at most). Those with particularly stubborn staining may be advised to return for one or more additional bleaching sessions, or may be asked to continue with a home-use whitening system.

Other tooth whitener system can be a take-home whitening kit. Dentists are saying that a take-home whitening kits can produce the best results over a exstended period of time. This tooth whitener system is said to incorporate an easy-to-use lower-concentration peroxide gel that remains on the teeth for an hour or longer even over night if advised. The lower the peroxide percentage, the longer it may safely remain on the teeth. The gel is applied to the teeth using custom-made bleaching trays that resemble mouth guards. Seems to prodcue better result and no office vists are required.

Of course there are other tooth whitener systems such as Over-the-Counter Whitening. This tooth whitener system is far cheaper then most and it is also the maost convenient of the tooth whiteners system. Over-the-counter bleaching involves the use of a store-bought whitening kit, featuring a bleaching gel with a concentration lower than that of the professionally dispensed take-home whiteners. The gel is applied to the teeth via one-size-fits-all trays, whitening strips or paint-on applicators. Easy and very cheap so this is what I recommand doing before going “all out” on one of the other tooth whitener system that are aviable out there. Do your homework!!!
